Seniors Exercise Classes

  • Improve ROM in all joints.

  • Improve muscle strength in upper/lower extremities and trunk muscles.

  • Improve walking patterns.

  • Improve static and dynamic balance.

  • Improve reflexes and coordination.

  • Improve endurance, lung functions, even bowel functions.

  • Improve posture, sitting, standing and walking.

  • Teach relaxation techniques.

  • Education re: posture in sitting, standing and walking positions.

  • Using good body mechanics when getting in and out of a chair, lifting or carrying,

  • Importance of regular exercises and walking; if not possible, stationary bicycle or treadmill (in the winter).

  • Pain management, benefits in using ice, etc.

  • Use of walker or cane.
